I am Lilia Menconi. Or Lilia Kummerer, if that’s your preference.
People hire me to write. When that happens, I don’t use words like “dick,” “fuck,” and, “shit.”
But when I write for free, I get to use all the words I want.
Also, I have a super awesome husband and two cats. Nothing particularly special has happened to me (knock on wood) but I like to think that I write in a particularly special kind of way.
I’m currently writing my very first book for the wonderful people at Avalon Travel. It’s a guide book about hiking in Phoenix. Yes, I’m totally pumped about this.

You forgot to mention your magnificence.

Hi, I’m Shelly and I’m from SimplyBridal.com, an online shop that sells quality wedding and bridesmaid dresses. I’ve been following your blog for a while and really love what you’ve been doing! We are currently trying to increase our online presence by reaching out to blogs and other communities and are also in the wedding space.
We’re wondering if there is any chance you can help us and maybe let your readers know about us? Is there someone I can speak with to discuss possible opportunities?
Here’s a little bit about us:
We’ve been live since mid-2011, and in that time have had several successful showcases in L.A, gained a former Miss Connecticut as our spokesperson, and received a lot of positive feedback from our brides and other industry specialists. Our products have been featured on blogs such as Rock’n'Roll Bride, Style Me Pretty, and Wedding Chicks.
We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
Lilia Menconi, we might be cousins. I think your grandfather Carlo may have been my grandfather’s cousin. My grandfather was Harry Menconi Sr. (or Henry), who’s father was Charlie, who immigrated from Italy. Charlie immigrated to Montana, and my grandfather eventually moved from Montana to San Francisco, where he married my grandmother, Anna Guadagni. Please contact me if we are related. I am traveling to Lucca italy soon and would like any info regarding relatives.
